What is Six Sigma?
Six Sigma is a rigorous management approach that uses several systematic methodologies to reduce variation and defects in business processes. The application of Six Sigma results in more streamlined processes which guarantee higher quality and less variation resulting in lower costs and controlled delivery times, thus providing additional and sustainable customer satisfaction and higher revenues and lower costs for the business.
In our Six Sigma approach we frequently use some of the following tools: voice of the customer, basic statistics, control charts, failure mode and effect analysis, quality function deployment, hypothesis testing (t-test, ANOVA, regression,…), design of experiments, measurement system analysis,...
The Six Sigma approach and tools, combined with user-friendly statistical software provide a powerful tool to achieve tangible and intangible breakthrough results. A typical Six Sigma Green Belt project results in yearly savings of about 20-50 K€, a Six Sigma Black Belt project even up to 50-300K€ of yearly savings per project. These projects are performed in a timeframe from 3 months to 1 year, depending on the complexity of the problem.
