What is leadership?

Excellent organisations need inspiring leadership all over the place. Leaders show vision, belief, courage, focus, self-confidence, enthusiasm, persuasiveness, resistance to criticism, listening skills, mobilising values…Can we ever find all these qualities within one person or, can we define leadership in relation to a team of complementary personalities, to authentic people accepting together the leading responsibilities within a team?

How does Stanwick Management Consultants help me and my organisation to develop a right leadership culture?

Stanwick Management Consultants developed an integrated development path, focussing on shared leadership. The purpose of this path is not to create the next “Leader of the Year”. It is however all about providing the participants the right tools to mobilise their colleagues in an inspiring way for communally formulated company objectives. Stanwick’s approach focuses on the learning capacity and the learning tension of the organisation's managers.

In the development path Management Team Effectiveness (MTE), managers discover themselves, their personal competencies, their motivation, the underlying organizational culture, their management style and the relation between all these elements. They determine the internal conditions for a successful future as an organisation as well as the development steps they will have to put themselves to earn this future.

These development steps are translated into specific management skills in the Leadership Development Path (LDP). This learning path focuses on the development of management skills using training and if necessary complemented with individual coaching.

MTE and LDP are tailor made development paths, designed together with the management team, which remains the owner of the growth process it has drawn up. Supporting tools are 360° Feedback, MBTI, training modules on leadership skills, coaching, teambuilding,...

Together with CPM, Stanwick Management Consultants has developed a comprehensive competency model that helps identifying the key competencies for leadership needed in any organisation. These competencies are evaluated during a professional assessment center in close cooperation with the assessment specialists of CPM.
